antique description This is a clock manufactured by the now defunct Marsellus Casket Company, and it was given to customers as one of many promotional items. Marsellus was the manufacturer of the finest solid wood caskets available for many years (some models are still produced by the Batesville Casket Company, but the original Marsellus Casket Co. is gone). Marsellus would frequently produce clocks, lamps, wastebaskets, etc. out of scrap wood and give these items as incentives to customers if they ordered certain caskets or a certain number of them. This clock is made of beautiful solid oak and is in very good shape. It has a light honey oak finish. It will be a great addition to any collection of funeral memorabilia. This clock is in working order and runs on a AA battery (not included). The clock measures 13 1/4 inches in diameter and 1 3/4 inches thick and weighs 6 lbs. It is octagonal in shape and says "Marsellus Since 1872" on the face. Please e-mail us with any questions.
